This significant event linked qualified students and graduates with leading local and multinational companies, enhancing career awareness among Egyptian youth and providing valuable job opportunities across the IT sector.

The fair showcased 35 prominent employers, including 20 global and 15 local companies. It offered over 700 job openings in software development, embedded systems, and other IT fields. With more than 13,000 job seekers registering, the event marked Egypt’s most significant IT employment fair, attracting 8,189 active participants.

ITIDA strategically positions Egypt as a global hub for outsourcing and technology innovation. Its initiatives aim to grow the industry, cultivate tech talent, and enhance Egypt’s competitiveness worldwide.

Ahmed Elzaher, CEO of ITIDA, highlighted the fair’s importance in accelerating the growth of Egypt’s IT sector. "Egypt is committed to nurturing a pool of local digital talent capable of driving innovation and economic development," he stated. "Through specialized training programmes, we aim to prepare our youth for roles in digital transformation and the offshoring industry," he added.

The agency's efforts to attract global players yielded impressive results, with Egypt's outsourcing exports increasing from $2.4 billion to $3.7 billion in the past year. The country’s strategic location, robust infrastructure, and supportive government policies enhance its attractiveness to IT offshoring businesses.

The event highlighted the rising demand for skilled IT professionals in Egypt.

Data revealed a significant need for various technology roles, with “Full Stack Developer” positions leading the demand at nearly 12 percent of total job openings. This was followed by “Design Engineer” roles at 8.5 percent and “CRM Engineer” and “Mobile Applications Developer” positions, each accounting for 6.1 percent. Additionally, “Back-End Developer” roles made up 5.3 percent. Meanwhile, “Software Testing Engineer” and “Data Scientist” positions represented 4.4 percent and 4.1 percent, respectively. These figures underscore the growing necessity for advanced technical expertise to propel the growth of Egypt's IT sector.

ITIDA held several workshops focusing on resume writing, interview techniques, and career development strategies to further support job seekers. By empowering Egyptian youth and bridging the gap between academia and industry, ITIDA's employment fair plays a vital role in advancing Egypt's digital transformation and establishing the country as a global tech hub.

Egypt’s ICT sector has emerged as a key driver of economic growth, maintaining its status as the fastest-growing state sector for the sixth consecutive year. This growth is fueled by strategic government investments in digital transformation, a skilled talent pool, rising demand for offshoring and outsourcing, and policies that foster innovation and technology-driven growth.
