The meeting delved into investment opportunities in recycling and waste management, highlighting the collaboration between Egypt and the Swiss government under the SRI project.
Key presentations included the Swiss model for e-waste Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) systems and financing mechanisms.
A feasibility study was also shared addressing problematic materials such as lithium batteries and hazardous plastic waste.
Additionally, panellists presented the best practices and successful green financing models from various sectors in the Egyptian market, aiming to strengthen the collaboration among circular economy stakeholders.
