Thurs 12, 7pm – 8pm (Free and open to the public): A memorable musical evening with Alya El-Haddad’s graduation recital accompanied by the AUC Arab Music ensemble. She will perform Egyptian, Lebanese, Syrian and Yemeni classics from the 20th century as well as folk songs from the region. The repertoire explores the journey of love—from flirtation to euphoria, to the lover’s complaint, and finally to nostalgia and loss.
Thurs 12, 8pm – 10pm (Free and open to the public): A concert of traditional Arab music performed by the AUC Cairo Arab Choir and the Arab Music ensemble, conducted by Alaa Abdel-Sallam and Wael El- Mahallawy.
