Pyramids FC, making waves in their latest Champions League campaign, currently top the group with four points after a resounding 5-1 victory over Mali’s Djoliba AC and a goalless draw away to Angola’s Sagrada Esperança.
The Egyptian side boasts one of the tournament’s most formidable attacking lineups, with star players Ibrahim Adel and Ramadan Sobhi leading the charge.
Adel, who scored twice in the opening fixture, will be crucial in breaking down Esperance’s defence.
However, Pyramids FC will be without midfield duo Mohamed Reda “Bobo” and Blati Touré due to injuries.
Esperance, on the other hand, are eager to return to winning ways following a frustrating 0-0 draw with Sagrada Esperança.
The Tunisian giants, four-time Champions League winners, are level on points with Pyramids but trail on goal difference.
Despite missing key players such as Yassine Meriah and Brazilian forward Yan Sasse, Esperance’s squad remains strong, with Algerian winger Youcef Belaïli and young talent Koussay Maacha expected to spearhead the attack.
Esperance will rely on their extensive continental experience and passionate home support to gain an advantage.
