Egypt's Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly experienced a brief spell of dizziness during Wednesday's weekly press conference, which was held after the cabinet meeting and broadcast live. However, the cabinet's official spokesperson, Mohamed Al-Homsani, reassured the public about Madbouly's health, stressing that he has resumed work.

According to a brief official statement by Al-Homsani following the incident, the Prime Minister has been suffering from a severe cold for several days.

Despite medical advice to rest, the Prime Minister continued working while taking various medications and antibiotics. Al-Homsani noted that PM Madbouly left his office late last night and returned early this morning to conduct several meetings before the cabinet session. Such effort probably caused the PM's fatigue and brief dizziness.

The cabinet spokesperson assured the public that PM Madbouly is now in good health and attends the rest of his scheduled daily meetings.

Madbouly experienced a moment of dizziness during a press conference held at the Cabinet headquarters in the New Administrative Capital on Wednesday, following the weekly government meeting.

The Prime Minister had been discussing President Abdel-Fattah El Sisi's recent European tour and local engagements when he unexpectedly paused mid-speech, citing dizziness.

He requested to halt the press conference, saying, "Please allow us to stop."

The live broadcast was interrupted for several minutes before Madbouly returned to address the media.

He explained, "I felt slightly dizzy due to acute stress. I apologize to everyone."

The Prime Minister then resumed the conference and continued with the planned agenda.
