Egypt condemns car-ramming in Magdeburg in Germany

Egypt condemned a car-ramming accident that took place on Friday in Magdeburg, Germany, killing and injuring dozens, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on Saturday.

The statement conveyed Egypt’s solidarity with Germany and denounced all kinds of violence and terror.

It added that Egypt offered its deepest condolences to the German government and people and wished the injured a speedy recovery.

The accidents – which German authorities called a deliberate attack – occurred at an outdoor market in the eastern German city of Magdeburg.

It killed five people, including a child, and injured more than 200 people, with 40 in critical condition, according to media reports.
