Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, and Cypriot President Nikos Christodoulides are scheduled to attend the summit.

The leaders are poised to discuss significant initiatives during the summit, focusing on energy cooperation and regional security.

These initiatives include the vital Greece-Egypt electricity grid connection (GREGY), which seeks to enhance integration between North Africa and European energy networks.

This summit will highlight the enduring commitment of the Mediterranean nations to regional stability and cooperation.

Egyptian Ambassador to Greece Omar Amer Youssef and President of the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) Ioannis Bratakos recently met in Athens to prepare for the summit.

Their meeting focused on strengthening economic and business cooperation between the two countries and prepared for the business mission that will accompany the prime minister to Cairo's trilateral summit in January.

They also discussed holding another Greek trade mission to Egypt next May.

Ambassador Youssef emphasized the importance of expanding economic relations between the two countries.

Meanwhile, Bratakos praised the historical friendship between the two countries.

He also stressed that Egypt's rapidly growing economy makes it a strategic partner for the Greek business community, offering significant opportunities in the sectors of trade, energy, and tourism.

“At the Athens Chamber of Commerce and Industry, we are committed to supporting actions and initiatives that will bring businesses of the two countries closer together, promoting growth and innovation,” Bratakos said after the meeting.

Ambassador Youssef was accompanied by Deputy Chief of Mission of the Egyptian embassy in Greece Counselor Ahmed El-Ghoul.

El-Ghoul held another meeting with Eleni Foti, director of International Commercial Relations at ACCI, and Maria Zografou, head of International Relations at the ACCI.
