Maksara El Donia (Shattering The World) will premiere on 3 January 2025 at the Mohammed Al-Ali Theatre in Boulevard Riyadh City.

The play’s story revolves around the life of an old circus troupe’s leader in a small city.

The troupe is threatened by the circus land’s owner, who wants to demolish the big top and erect a commercial building in its place. The troupe works hard to present a memorable show that will prove financially successful and hopefully save its destiny.

The play stars Donia Samir Ghanem alongside a known Egyptian cast, including Mohamed Tharwat, Sami Maghawry, and Karam Afifi.

Maksara El Donia is one of the many plays produced by Egyptian companies to be staged in Riyadh. Over the past couple of years, several Egyptian theatre makers entertained Saudi audiences.

Saudi Arabia's city is currently staging Al-Basha, an Egyptian play starring Karim Abdel-Aziz. The play continues until 1 January 2025 at Bakr Al-Shadi Theatre.

Donia starred in Anistuna, a play with Bayoumi Fouad that was performed extensively in Egypt and Riyadh.

Actress and singer Donia Samir Ghanem is the daughter of the legendary late comedian Samir Ghanem and late actress Dalal Abdul Aziz.

She gained early recognition for her comedic roles. Over the years, Donia has built a significant career in television, film, and theatre, becoming a household name in the Arab world.

As a singer, she has a few works in her name, penned by other artists. She is also well known for her unique ability to mimic other Arab singers.

Donia, along with Elissa and Ragheb Alama, both Lebanese singers, was a judge on The X Factor Arabia's fourth season (2015).
