The hosts were down 1-0 until the 90th minute, thanks to a goal from Esperance’s Algerian forward Youcef Belaïli, who scored his side's only goal in the 56th minute.

Classy winger Mostafa Fathi leveled the score in the 90th, while forward Ibrahim Adel netted a last-gasp winner, giving his side a precious victory.

This win helped Pyramids FC avenge their 2-0 defeat against the Tunisian side in the previous fixture in Tunisia and allowed them to lead the group with seven points, level with Esperance.

Angolan side Sagrada Esperança remained third with five points after defeating bottom side Djoliba of Mali 1-0 on Sunday (who have two points).

Pyramids FC will face Sagrada Esperança in Angola on Saturday, January 11.
