Ahly currently lead Group D with ten points, trailing second-placed Orlando Pirates of South Africa by two points.

Orlando Pirates are set to clash with Algeria’s Belouizdad on Sunday.

Stade d’Abidjan remained winless in the group stage, firmly holding the bottom spot with only one point.

Saint-Jean Kore broke the deadlock in the 26th minute with a right-footed strike from outside the box to the bottom right corner, granting the hosts an early advantage.

Emam Ashour swiftly responded for Ahly with a right-footed shot from very close range to the bottom right corner, securing the equalizer just eight minutes before halftime.

Hussien El-Shahat delivered a well-placed cross to striker Wessam Abou-Ali, who headed the ball towards goal, with Ashour following up to find the back of the net.

Ashour extended Ahly's lead in the 73rd minute with a header from the center of the box to the bottom left corner, courtesy of a brilliant assist by Khaled Abdel Fattah.

In injury time, the former Zamalek winger completed his hat-trick with a right-footed shot from the center of the box to the bottom right corner, receiving an assist from substitute Omar El Saeey.

Ahly initiated the match with fervor, missing two scoring opportunities in the opening two minutes through striker Wessam Abou-Ali and winger Hussien El-Shahat.

Despite Stade d’Abidjan's dominance in the first half after taking the lead, Ahly's Swiss coach Marcel Koller made strategic substitutions early in the second half to secure the victory.

Koller brought on Mohamed ‘Afsha’ Magdi and Karim Walid from the bench, replacing Karim El Debes and Amr El-Sulaya, respectively.

Ahly are scheduled to face Gouna in the Egyptian Premier League on Wednesday, just two days before hosting rivals Orlando Pirates in the final round of the CAF Champions League group stage.
