The Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported that eight soldiers from the Givati Brigade were injured Friday.

The Israeli army has not issued any statement on the incident.

However, on Saturday, the occupation army confirmed that four of its soldiers from the Nahal Brigade were killed, with a commander and soldier critically injured in a powerful explosive device blast in Beit Hanoun during ongoing battles with Palestinian fighters in the northern Gaza Strip.

The Israeli Channel 12 revealed that the Beit Hanoun attack on the Israeli soldiers was a complex ambush that involved a mine explosion and gunfire.

Recent heavy losses at the hands of the Palestinian resistance prompted the Israeli military to change its tactics in Beit Hanoun, the Israeli Maariv newspaper said.

Maariv said that the Israeli army now aims to secure Beit Hanoun to stop Palestinian militants from launching rocket attacks against the Gaza Envelope settlements and Sderot from northern Gaza.

According to the Israeli Channel 13, 50 Israeli soldiers have been killed, 11 of them in Beit Hanoun, since Israel started an ethnic cleansing operation in northern Gaza in early October 2024 that killed and wounded thousands of Palestinians and pushed most of the civilian population south.

The Israeli army has acknowledged that 835 officers and soldiers were killed in battle in Gaza Since the start of the Israeli war on Gaza in October 2023.

Thousands of Israeli soldiers have been injured in battle, with many suffering from physical and psychological disabilities as a result of the war.

The Israeli army has traditionally under-reported its casualties in all of its previous wars.

The Israeli genocidal war on Gaza has killed and wounded nearly 200,000 Palestinians and destroyed most homes, leaving most of the 2.3 million population displaced.
