This match against Freiburg may mark Marmoush's final appearance in an Eintracht Frankfurt jersey, with Sky Sport (Germany) reporting progress in talks by Premier League champions Man City to sign the Egyptian star.

With a goal and two assists, the 25-year-old is making it clear why Pep Guardiola has made him his top priority in January.

Freiburg forward Ritsu Doan opened the scoring in the 37th minute, but Marmoush quickly responded by providing a precise corner kick assist to Robin Koch, who headed in the equalizer just before halftime.

In the 65th minute, Marmoush secured the lead for Frankfurt with a close-range strike into the net. Hugo Ekitike added a third goal for Eintracht Frankfurt in the 72nd minute.

Marmoush continued to shine, assisting Nnamdi Collins for the fourth goal ten minutes later, sealing the victory for Eintracht Frankfurt.

Thanks to this win, Frankfurt solidified their third-place position in the league table with 33 points, trailing leaders Bayern Munich by 6 points.

Marmoush boosted his goal tally to 15, intensifying his competition with Bayern Munich's English striker Harry Kane for the top scorer title.

ince his transfer from Stuttgart to Frankfurt last summer, the Egyptian forward has consistently delivered stellar performances, establishing himself as one of the standout players in European football this season.

Marmoush has netted 20 goals and provided 13 assists in 26 appearances for Eintracht Frankfurt across all competitions this season.

On the international stage, Marmoush has maintained his impressive form, earning 35 caps since his debut in 2021 and scoring six goals.
