The inspection tour, under the directives of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, aims to provide all forms of health support to those arriving from the Gaza Strip, according to a statement by the Egyptian Ministry of Health.

During the tour, Abdel-Ghaffar ensured the availability of all required vaccinations, including the Sabin and Salk polio vaccines, the Measles and Rubella vaccines, and the Mumps vaccine, the statement read.

Additionally, the minister checked the medical preparations and personal protective equipment such as medical gloves, surgical masks, and dedicated tools and supplies for suspected patients.

He also checked the availability of medical devices for conducting remote temperature checks, blood sugar and blood pressure measurements, oxygen saturation levels, and rapid tests for certain epidemic-related diseases.

Both ministers inspected the issuance of the public health card to complete the health monitoring and follow-up for arrivals at their places of residence within the country, stressing the importance of recording all their data on the quarantine data list.

On Friday, a high-level meeting between Egyptian, Qatari, American, Israeli, and Palestinian delegations discussed mechanisms for delivering aid to Gaza at a rate of 600 trucks daily, as outlined in the recently agreed-upon ceasefire agreement.

According to Al-Qahera News TV channel, Egyptian authorities are finalizing preparations in the North Sinai Governorate to facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid trucks into Gaza.

In May 2024, Israel took control of the Palestinian side of the Rafah border crossing between Egypt and Gaza, which had previously been used for delivering humanitarian aid, and subsequently closed it.
