During a press conference in Cairo, Abdelatty highlighted Egypt's strenuous efforts to reach the recently agreed-upon ceasefire agreement in Gaza and ensure the exchange of prisoners and detainees.
He said that 600 trucks would enter Gaza daily as per the agreement. "We will work diligently to ensure the ceasefire in Gaza is implemented," Abdelatty noted at the press conference.
Senegalese FM meeting
During a meeting with his Senegalese counterpart Yassine Fall, attended by Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation Rania Al-Mashat, both sides discussed ways to enhance African joint action.
They also addressed Egypt's water security issue and touched on topics related to African Union initiatives. In addition, the two sides praised the coordination between Egypt and Senegal in regional and global forums, particularly in defending African interests.

Additionally, Abdelatty and Fall exchanged views on the situation in the Sahel region and West Africa and the latest developments in the Horn of Africa. They also discussed the crises in Somalia, Sudan, Gaza, Syria, and Libya.
The Egyptian FM noted that this year marks 65 years of diplomatic relations between both nations, highlighting that Egypt had been the first African country and the second globally to recognise Senegal's independence in 1960.

Nigerian FM meeting
According to the Egyptian foreign ministry, Abdelatty and his Nigerian counterpart Yusuf Tuggar held the third round of ministerial-level political consultations between Egypt and Nigeria.
High-level Egyptian officials, including Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hani Sewilam and Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Alaa Farouk, participated in the meeting.
Abdelatty and Tuggar also discussed the latest regional and international issues, particularly the situation in the Red Sea and the deployment of the African Union Support and Stabilization Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM).
During the meeting, both ministers announced that bilateral ties would be elevated to a comprehensive partnership and signed an agreement to mutually exempt diplomatic passport holders from entry visa requirements.
