The Egyptian powerhouse, Pyramids FC, solidified their spot in the Champions League quarterfinals by finishing second in Group D with 13 points.
They tied in points with group leaders Esperance, who claim the top spot courtesy to a better head-to-head record.
Pyramids FC swiftly took control of the match as Nigerian winger Sodiq Awujoola opened the scoring just two minutes into the game with a precise right-footed strike from outside the box.
Forward Marwan Hamdy extended the lead eight minutes later with a well-placed shot, capitalizing on an excellent assist from talented winger Ramadan Sobhi.
The scoring spree continued as Mostafa Fathi in the 53rd minute, Ramadan Sobhi in the 60th, Abdel Rahman Magdi in the 66th, and Youssef Obama in the 77th all found the net for Pyramids FC.
Despite their dominance, Pyramids FC missed several opportunities to further increase their lead, with attempts from Hamdy and Awujoola being thwarted.
Djoliba AC came close to scoring in the 39th minute through Kenan Glougbe's effort, which was saved by Pyramids FC goalkeeper Ahmed El-Shennawy.
Djoliba AC's hopes were further dashed when Zoumana Simpara missed a penalty, failing to capitalize on a scoring opportunity.
The quarterfinal matches of the CAF Champions League are scheduled to take place in March.
