The Cairo-based giants secured their spot in the quarterfinals after an impressive six-match unbeaten run, firmly leading Group D with 14 points, boasting a five-point lead over the second-placed Masry.

Maintaining a crucial nine-point advantage over Enyimba from Nigeria in third place, the Black Bulls found themselves laying at the bottom of the group with just four points.

Mostafa Shalaby opened the scoring for Zamalek in the 29th minute with a precise header from close range into the top center of the goal, capitalizing on a brilliant cross by Ahmed ‘Zizo’ Sayed.

Tunisian striker, Seifeddine Jaziri furthered Zamalek's lead just three minutes into the second half with a clinical right-footed strike from the heart of the box into the center of the goal.

Enyimba managed to pull one back through striker Ifeanyi Ihemekwele in the 57th minute, who found the net with a well-placed right-footed shot from the center of the box, courtesy of an assist by Pascal Eze following a corner.

Jaziri sealed the victory for the hosts with another goal just three minutes before the final whistle, concluding Zamalek's journey in the Confederation Cup on a high note with an unbeaten streak.

The quarterfinal matches of the CAF Confederation Cup are set to take place in March.
