Taking charge from the onset, Egypt led 14-11 at halftime and continued their dominance in the second half, ultimately sealing the match with a four-goal lead.

Goalkeeper Mohamed Ali earned the title of man of the match for his exceptional saves that thwarted Croatia's attacks throughout the game.

Having previously secured their spot in the main round with a game to spare in Group H, Egypt had already triumphed over Argentina with a convincing 39-25 victory and Bahrain with a solid 35-24 win in their initial two matches.

The Pharaohs currently top their group with a perfect six points. Hosts Croatia secured the second spot with four points, while Argentina claimed third place with two points after defeating Bahrain earlier on Sunday.

In the upcoming main round, Egypt are set to face the winner of Group G, with Slovenia and Iceland slated to battle it out on Monday to determine the group leader.

Egypt's main round fixture is scheduled for Wednesday.
