Six Palestinians were killed and 35 others injured during the ongoing Israeli assaults in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin on Tuesday, according to the Ministry of Health.

According to WAFA news agency, the ministry said some injured people were taken to Ibn Sina, Al-Amal, and Al-Shifa Hospitals.

The Palestinian Red Crescent said its first responders treated seven people injured by live ammunition and that Israeli forces were hindering their access to the area.

Wissam Bakr, director of Jenin Governmental Hospital, told WAFA that a doctor was among the wounded near Al-Amal Hospital.

Bakr stressed that several other injuries were transferred to the city's hospitals but has not confirmed the number yet due to the speedy ongoing Israeli attacks taking place in the town.

Jenin Governor Kamal Abu al-Rub told AFP the operation was "an invasion of the refugee camp."

"It came quickly, Apache helicopters in the sky and Israeli military vehicles everywhere," he added.

The Israeli occupation forces stormed the camp with a large number of military vehicles from the al-Jalameh military checkpoint shortly after special forces were discovered in the al-Jabarat neighbourhood, according to WAFA.

The occupation forces are currently besieging a house in Jenin camp, the news agency added.

Anwar Rajab, spokesman for the Palestinian security forces, said in a statement that Israeli forces had "opened fire on civilians and security forces, resulting in injuries to several civilians and several security personnel, one of whom is in critical condition."

The raid coincided with Israeli drones bombing an empty vehicle near Al-Zahraa School in the vicinity of Jenin camp.

The occupation soldiers deployed snipers in the Al-Hadaf neighbourhood in Jenin camp and opened heavy fire at citizens.

Since yesterday, the occupation forces have continued to install iron gates at the entrances leading to several towns and villages across the West Bank, turning them into isolated areas, restricting the movement of residents and imposing collective punishment against them.
