In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Egypt extended heartfelt sympathy to the victims’ families and wished a swift recovery for those injured.
At least 66 people were killed and 51 others injured when a fire tore through a ski resort hotel in northwestern Turkey early Tuesday morning.
The blaze at the hotel in Kartalkaya resort, Bolu Province, forced desperate holidaymakers to leap from windows to escape the flames and smoke.
According to Ali Yerlikaya, Turkey’s interior minister, many of the victims are believed to be children.
