Zizo's contract with Zamalek expires at the end of the current season, meaning the player is now in the open negotiation period as of January. This allows him to discuss terms with other clubs interested in his signature should Zamalek fail to renew his deal.

However, recent reports suggested that talks between Zizo and the club have stalled following the winger's financial demands in addition to receiving a lucrative offer from a Saudi Pro League side, Al-Ettifaq.

In a statement posted on his Instagram account, the 29-year-old talisman addressed the ongoing speculation surrounding his future:

"Out of respect and appreciation for Zamalek's fans, I'd like to clarify the following:

I prefer not to delve into details and to stay focused in the field, as that is my job. However, many false reports have circulated, and I don't know their source. There are still those trying to use my name to stir controversy.

"My primary and ultimate goal is to ensure the club's stability. I believe Zamalek and its fans always deserve the best. I also think the relationship between a big club and one of its players should be based on mutual respect, especially given the difficult circumstances the club is currently facing.

"In this context, I find the ongoing discussion about this matter deeply saddening and unfortunate, and it must stop. We know the club's situation; no party should be disrespected or blamed without clear evidence.

"Regarding this issue, I have consistently demonstrated my love and loyalty to Zamalek and its fans, and I don't feel the need to justify that. I am fully aware of the challenges the board is facing due to the financial burdens and significant expenses the club has incurred during this crisis.

"If Zamalek wants me to stay, I will remain until the financial crisis ends. If my contract renewal is the last item on the agenda after settling player dues, renewing contracts, and signing new players, I am prepared to wait. If the club believes that benefiting from the financial aspects related to my situation is in its best interest, I am ready to cooperate in any way possible.

"Ultimately, my only goal is to see Zamalek and its fans in the best possible position. Thank you all."

Since joining Zamalek from Moreirense in January 2019, Zizo has become a cornerstone of the team.

Over five seasons, he has played a pivotal role in securing multiple titles for the White Knights, scoring 82 goals and providing 66 assists in 247 games across all competitions.

This season, Zizo has featured in 18 matches across all competitions, scoring six goals and providing three assists.
