Strengthening Ties with Kazakhstan
During his conversation with Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu, FM Abdelatty expressed Egypt’s keenness to develop bilateral economic and trade relations between the two countries.
Abdelatty underscored opportunities for collaboration in agriculture, pharmaceuticals, tourism, infrastructure, textiles, furniture, and building materials.
He also stressed the importance of convening the Sixth Session of the Joint Governmental Committee to advance trade and investment exchange between the two countries.
Enhancing Cooperation with Uzbekistan
In a separate call with Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov, Abdelatty affirmed Egypt’s commitment to strengthening political and economic ties by developing existing cooperation mechanisms and fostering partnerships between national financial institutions in Egypt and Uzbekistan.
The Egyptian minister emphasized the significance of building on the outcomes of the Seventh Session of the Egyptian-Uzbek Joint Committee for Economic, Scientific, and Technical Cooperation, held in December 2024 in Tashkent.
He highlighted the potential to enhance investments and trade exchange and the importance of establishing a joint business council to explore new areas of collaboration between private sector institutions in both countries.
FM Abdelatty also expressed Egypt’s appreciation for Uzbekistan’s solidarity with the Palestinian people, including its support for Palestine’s right to establish an independent state per relevant United Nations resolutions.
