During a tour, both ministers witnessed the launch of the app. Hanno praised the fruitful cooperation between both ministries, which resulted in providing the necessary technical infrastructure to ensure the project's success.
He emphasized that this collaboration reflects the integrated governmental efforts to develop the state's cultural sector using modern technological tools.
Hanno noted that the initiative will enhance the cultural interaction between Egypt and the world by providing globally accessible digital content.

The culture minister highlighted that the project aligns with the rapid digital transformation the world is experiencing, noting that the app aims to facilitate access to books through the latest technological means.
He pointed out that the app includes a massive digital library featuring several books across various fields, enabling citizens to benefit from a diverse and constantly updated cultural collection.
For his part, Talaat revealed that the second version of the app will include an audiobook feature for those who prefer listening over reading.

He said that efforts are underway to develop a similar app for the Egyptian musical library and to leverage artificial intelligence to translate more books, making them accessible to Egyptian and Arab researchers.
These efforts represent steps towards making more knowledge and cultural content available to Egyptians and Arabs through the collaboration of both ministries.
According to the Egyptian cabinet statement, the "Ketab" app is a modern cultural initiative aimed at providing extensive cultural and intellectual content via digital platforms. It allows users to easily access books across various fields of knowledge.
The 56th edition of the Cairo International Book Fair kicked off Thursday and will run until 5 February at the Egypt International Exhibition Centre in New Cairo.
