Liverpool’s Egyptian international forward Mohamed Salah was on target again against Ipswich on Saturday, as he climbed the Premier League’s all-time goalscoring charts.

The 32-year-old star scored in the 35th minute during Liverpool’s dominant 4-1 victory over Ipswich Town at Anfield, securing his place as the seventh-highest scorer in the league’s history.

Salah’s moment of brilliance came when he latched onto a pinpoint cross from Cody Gakpo at the back post, finishing with clinical precision from a seemingly impossible angle to double Liverpool’s lead.

The goal marked his 100th at the Anfield and the 19th in the Premier League this campaign, taking his overall tally to 23 goals and 17 assists in 31 appearances across all competitions.

Tonight's goal was Salah’s 176th Premier League goal, moving him ahead of Arsenal legend Thierry Henry - who scored 175 goals - and into seventh place on the all-time list.

The Egyptian king is now just one goal behind Chelsea icon Frank Lampard, who sits sixth with 177 goals.

In the race for this season’s Golden Boot, Salah has extended his lead over Manchester City’s Erling Haaland and Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak, who trail him by two goals.

Additionally, Salah is now the second-highest-scoring overseas player in Premier League history, behind only Sergio Agüero (184). Alan Shearer remains the league’s all-time top scorer with an incredible 260 goals.

Since joining Liverpool in 2017, Salah has been a model of consistency and excellence.

Only three players have scores more goals than Salah in Europe’s top five leagues during that period: Robert Lewandowski (245), Harry Kane (253), and Kylian Mbappé (224).

As Salah enters the final six months of his contract with Liverpool, speculation about his future continues to swirl, since the Egyptian forward is now free to negotiate with non-English clubs, with the possibility of signing a pre-contract agreement ahead of a summer move.

However, Liverpool’s victory over Ipswich maintained their six-point lead at the top of the Premier League table, with second-placed Arsenal trailing behind.
