According to a statement by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, Abdelatty underscored the importance of mobilizing global support to restore essential services, initiate early recovery efforts, and rehabilitate Gaza's infrastructure.
The meeting addressed the outcomes of Saturday's meeting of Arab officials and foreign ministers in Cairo, where they reiterated their rejection of US President Donald Trump's proposal to displace Palestinians from the heavily devastated Gaza Strip.
Discussions also covered both political and humanitarian dimensions in Gaza and Egypt's ongoing efforts to uphold the ceasefire, implement its three-phase plan, and facilitate the entry of as much humanitarian aid as possible into the besieged enclave.
Abdelatty also listened to Kaag's assessment of the humanitarian situation in Gaza and her latest diplomatic engagements on the matter.
He urged Kaag to continue monitoring the fulfilment of financial commitments made by donors at the Cairo Ministerial Conference in December to bolster humanitarian aid for Gaza.
In addition, the foreign minister reaffirmed Egypt's position on ensuring the safe and sustained delivery of humanitarian assistance to Gaza through all border crossings. He also stressed the necessity of restoring the Palestinian Authority's governance in Gaza.
Moreover, Abdelatty called on the international community to support Egypt's ongoing efforts in delivering humanitarian relief to the war-torn territory.
