Both top diplomats made their remarks during a joint press conference on Tuesday after discussing bilateral and regional issues in a meeting in Ankara.
At the presser, FM Abdelatty voiced strong opposition to any attempt to uproot the Palestinians from their homeland, urging the international community to heed their legitimate rights in statehood.
Concurring with his Egyptian counterpart, Fidan stated that Turkey is totally against the displacement of Palestinians, who were forced out of their homeland land in the 1948 Nakba.
The Egyptian-Turkish statements come amid ongoing coordination between Cairo and Ankara to end the suffering of the Palestinian people and push for effective international recognition of their legitimate rights.
They come amid Egyptian, Arab and regional rejection of recent incendiary proposals by US President Donald Trump incendiary proposals to "clean out" the Palestinians from the war-devastated Gaza Strip and transfer them to Egypt and Jordan.
“We must not create a situation that leaves future generations with wars, clashes and revenge. We must read history carefully,” he asserted.
The top diplomats also reviewed the ongoing efforts to solidify the ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas, which was brokered by Egypt, Qatar, and the US and went into effect on 19 January to end the 15-month Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip.
FM Abdelatty called for a sustainable ceasefire, stressing that both sides must demonstrate the political will to fulfil their responsibilities.
He urged all international parties to exert maximum pressure to implement the terms of the agreement.
“The situation in Gaza is catastrophic and beyond imagination,” he added
Egypt is mobilizing its ports to deliver humanitarian aid to the strip, stressed FM Abdelatty.
He called on the international community to accelerate the implementation of early recovery projects to provide Palestinians with basic services from which they have been deprived due to the Israeli 15-month war.
Furthermore, Abdelatty urged the international community to participate in Gaza reconstruction projects, noting that Cairo will soon host an international reconstruction conference.
On his part, Fidan stated that Turkey has supported the ceasefire from the outset to end humanitarian tragedy and ethnic cleansing.
Fidan said Turkey had received 15 recently released Palestinian prisoners who were designated to be deported from the occupied territories to support the ceasefire deal.
Stability in Syria, Libya
Abdelatty and Fidan also discussed developments in Libya and Syria.
The pair emphasised the importance of supporting Libyan national efforts to strengthen a Libyan-led solution to end the crisis there. He also called for the withdrawal of all foreign forces and mercenaries from Libya to achieve its security.
The two top diplomats ministers also discussed the situation in Syria.
For his part, FM Abdelatty stated that the stability, security, sovereignty, and unity of Syria are Egypt's main priorities.
“We agreed on the necessity of launching a genuine, comprehensive political process in Syria," said the Egyptian foreign minister.
He stressed the importance of preventing Syria from becoming a centre for incitement or threats to any neighbouring country.
100 years of diplomacy
Furthermore, Fidan and Abdelatty addressed means to strengthen ties, with Turkey's top diplomat saying relations are “improving day after day.”
Fidan also expressed his aspiration for more cooperation with Egypt in various sectors, noting that 2025 marks 100 years of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
Minister Abdelatty also noted that trade reached $8.8 bln in 2024, adding that he agreed with Fidan on the necessity to increase trade volume to $15 billion - a target set at last year's summit between Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
