According to the Egyptian Presidency, both leaders emphasized the need for the full implementation of the agreement, including the exchange of hostages and detainees and the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza’s residents.

They also underscored the urgency of accelerating Gaza’s reconstruction efforts.

The leaders reaffirmed the importance of achieving a lasting peace in the region based on the two-state solution, which includes the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along the 4 June 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

They stressed that this remains the only viable path to ensuring peace and stability in the Middle East and reaffirmed the Arab world’s united stance in advocating for a permanent and just peace that would bring security and economic prosperity to the region.

Last week, Cairo and Amman issued stern rejections of recent incendiary proposals by US President Donald Trump to "clean out" Palestinians from the war-devastated Gaza Strip and transfer them to Egypt, Jordan, and other Arab and Muslim countries.

On Saturday, the foreign ministers of Egypt, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, along with representatives of the Palestinian Authority and the Arab League chief, issued a communique in an emergency meeting in Cairo rejecting all proposals to transfer the Palestinians from their homeland and reaffirming support for a two-state solution.

The discussion also covered the situation in Syria, where both leaders reiterated the importance of stabilizing the country, preserving its unity and territorial integrity, and ensuring the security of the Syrian people.

They emphasized the need for an inclusive political process incorporating all factions and segments of Syrian society.

El-Sisi and Abdullah II also addressed the situation in Lebanon, stressing the importance of fully implementing the ceasefire agreement and enforcing UN Security Council Resolution 1701. They reaffirmed their commitment to Lebanon’s security, sovereignty, and stability.

The call concluded with both leaders emphasizing the need for continued coordination and consultation between Egypt and Jordan and reaffirming their commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation across various fields.
