Following the implementation of the three-phase ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas on 19 January, Egypt swiftly dispatched hundreds of trucks loaded with food, water, and medicine to Gaza.
This urgent aid aimed to relieve the severe hunger and hardship faced by 2.4 million Palestinians after months of an Israeli blockade on the strip.
On Tuesday, Egyptian Minister of Supply and Internal Trade Sherif Farouk announced the deployment of the 11th and 12th humanitarian aid convoys to war-torn Gaza. These convoys carried 1,200 tons of supplies, aiming to ease the hardships faced by the Palestinian people.
On Monday, another 340 trucks were transported through the Rafah border crossing and sent to Al-Auja and Karm Abu Salem crossings for delivery to Gaza.
Of these trucks, 310 carried aid, 25 fuel, and five cooking gas.
Over the more-than-year war on Gaza, Israel has killed more than 47,000 Palestinians, the majority of whom are women and children, and injured over 110,000.
