EFA President Hany Abu Rida, who invited Wenger to Egypt, will attend the press conference, which will be held at the EFA’s new headquarters in Sixth of October City, Cairo.
Former Arsenal manager Wenger will discuss FIFA’s plans for developing youth football in Egypt. These plans include a scouting and training project to identify and nurture talent, which is part of a broader strategy to enhance Egyptian football through the EFA-FIFA partnership.
The talent development project will begin with a workshop on Tuesday. The EFA said local football experts will be trained to scout players across all governorates, including cities and rural areas.
On Saturday, Abu Rida will meet with Massimo Busacca, FIFA director of refereeing, who will attend the launch of a referee development workshop at the EFA alongside international instructor Óscar López.
The EFA has recently strengthened its collaboration with FIFA to boost players’ performance and officiate standards in Egypt.
