EgyptAir, Egypt’s national carrier, celebrates on 9 February the 70th anniversary of Karnak’s founding in 1955 by providing discounts of up to 50 percent on economy class tickets and 25 percent on business class tickets for flights from Egypt to all international destinations, excluding Jeddah, Medina, and Beirut.

These special offers will be available for tickets purchased exclusively on 9 February through Karnak and EgyptAir offices nationwide.

EgyptAir announced Thursday that, for the first time, it will introduce the "Golden Ticket," which will be available only at Karnak’s offices in Nasr City, Qasr El-Nil, and other branches nationwide.

Additionally, customers who purchase these tickets on 9 February will be entered into a draw to win free airline tickets and other prizes. The winners will be announced on EgyptAir Tourism - Karnak's official Facebook page.

On this occasion, Yehia Zakaria, chairman of the EgyptAir Holding Company, congratulated all Karnak employees, commending their dedication and urging them to maintain their prestigious reputation in leisure and religious tourism and organizing conferences and exhibitions.

Ashraf Rateb, head of Karnak Tourism, highlighted EgyptAir’s ambitious strategy to maximize revenues through fleet development and a fully upgraded electronic booking system, which is expected to boost foreign currency income.

He also revealed ongoing preparations for signing multiple cooperation agreements between Karnak Tourism and various ministries, governmental entities, and private institutions. These agreements will facilitate ticket bookings, offer diverse tourism programmes — both domestic and international — and provide packages for Hajj, Umrah, conferences, and exhibitions.

Rateb announced that a commemorative circulating coin featuring the Karnak logo and EgyptAir’s name would be issued in collaboration with the Public Treasury and Mint Authority. Moreover, a series of special postage stamps showcasing Egypt’s most iconic tourist landmarks will be released to celebrate Karnak Tourism’s 70th anniversary.
