Tourist boat sinks north of Hurghada in Red Sea; all crew members rescued

A tourist boat carrying six crew members sank off the coast of Jabal Al-Zayt, north of Hurghada, in the Red Sea on Thursday evening.

All the crew members were rescued.

Authorities in the Red Sea Governorate received a distress report and immediately dispatched three marine rescue units from nearby petroleum companies operating in the area.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the boat, named Tri Ton, sank due to adverse weather conditions.

The vessel was en route from Rashid to Hurghada after undergoing maintenance.

Emergency response teams have been placed on high alert, and the ambulance service and several petroleum companies have been mobilized to assist in search and rescue operations.

Authorities have been notified, and efforts to locate the missing crew members are ongoing.
