The EMA noted that rainfall and winds will enhance the feeling of cold weather in the country's northern parts.
Maritime navigation will be disrupted in the Mediterranean Sea, with wind speeds ranging from 40 to 60 km/h and wave heights between three and four metres.
According to the EMA, light morning fog is expected on some agricultural and highway roads near water bodies.
In addition, light-to-moderate rainfall is also anticipated across the northern coasts and northern Lower Egypt.
The EMA forecasted that moderate winds may also occur intermittently in parts across the northern coasts, southern Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt.
While daytime temperatures will generally remain mild, early morning and nighttime conditions are expected to be extremely cold nationwide.
Temperatures in Cairo and Lower Egypt are expected to reach 19 degrees in the morning and drop to nine degrees at night.
On the northern coasts, daytime temperatures are expected to be around 17 degrees, with nighttime lows of 10 degrees.
The EMA predicted northern Upper Egypt's daytime temperatures would reach 20 degrees, with much cooler nighttime lows of six degrees.
Meanwhile, warmer temperatures are expected in southern Upper Egypt, rising to 24 degrees in the morning and dropping to nine degrees at night.
According to the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), January 2025 was the warmest January globally on record.
