Furthermore, the Egyptian FM emphasized that the "next day" plan in Gaza must be within the framework of the unity of the West Bank and Gaza Strip, including the return of the Palestinian Authority to the Strip.

He also underlined the necessity of ensuring that Palestinian residents remain in Gaza during the early recovery and reconstruction phase.

In addition, Abdelatty reaffirmed the need for the Palestinian people to regain their legitimate rights, including self-determination and the establishment of an independent state based on the 4 June 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
