The 31-year-old broke the deadlock in the 38th minute, slotting home a close-range right-footed finish after connecting with a headed assist from Senegalese forward Issa Soumaré.
Soumaré later doubled Le Havre’s lead in the second half, before Lille managed to score a consolation goal deep into injury time.
Kouka joined Le Havre during the January transfer window on a short-term deal until the end of the current season after his contract with Portuguese club Rio Ave was terminated, even though it was set to run until June 2025.
Despite the victory, Le Havre are still fighting to avoid relegation from France’s top flight, currently sitting second from bottom in the league table with 17 points from 21 matches.
Le Havre's next game sees them face Nice, who also have Egyptian defender Mohamed Abdelmonem in their squad.
