During a phone call, El-Sisi and the Malaysian PM  highlighted Egypt's tireless efforts, in cooperation with Qatar and the US, to implement the ceasefire deal in the Gaza Strip and deliver humanitarian aid to the strip.

According to the Egyptian presidency, the two leaders emphasised the necessity to address the humanitarian tragedy that the Palestinian population are facing in Gaza as a result of the brutal 15-month Israeli war.

They also underscored the need to intensify international efforts to establish a Palestinian state based on the borders of 4 June 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital as the only guarantee for achieving permanent peace in the region and stability and prosperity for its people.

During the call, the Malaysian PM commended Egypt's tireless efforts to support the Palestinians, stop the bloodshed, and restore calm in the Middle East.

The call also touched upon the Egyptian-Malaysian strong ties and ways to enhance economic cooperation between the two countries.
