In an official statement on social media, the club revealed that the newly formed committee includes former Zamalek legends and technical experts Hazem Emam, Ahmed ‘Mido’ Hossam, and Amr El-Ganainy.
“The committee is tasked with devising a comprehensive strategy to elevate the club’s football sector, ensuring “full professionalism” across technical, administrative, and financial frameworks. Their proposals will be submitted to the board for final approval,” Zamalek said in the statement.
The decision followed a board meeting to assess the football sector’s current state, particularly the first team’s performance and backroom staff.
Zamalek’s statement emphasized the board’s “responsibility to the club and their massive fanbase” and their ambition to “secure more titles.”
Additionally, the board reviewed a planning committee report evaluating the status of the first team and the technical staff.
As a result, the board extended gratitude to outgoing Swiss coach Christian Gross and his assistants, directing the finance department to accelerate the settlement of his contractual dues.
The newly formed committee retains the authority to collaborate with external experts, club icons, and members to achieve its objectives.
This restructuring signals Zamalek’s intent to revitalize its football operations amid a fiercely competitive domestic and continental landscape.
