The customer service centre is accessible 24/7 to assist customers with their inquiries and support needs.

Customers can reach the service centre by dialling 1661 on a mobile phone or 09000661 on a landline.

A charge of EGP 1.5 per minute applies to all calls.

The newly launched customer service centre offers various services to enhance passenger convenience.

Travellers can inquire about train schedules and routes across all lines and obtain information on nationwide ticket sales methods and channels.

The centre also provides ticket verification services for tickets purchased through various platforms, such as the official website and the railway's mobile application.

Meanwhile, passengers can submit complaints, which will be directed to the relevant department for resolution to prevent future issues.

Additionally, the centre offers a streamlined process for reserving seats on luxury and air-conditioned trains across all routes.

Passengers can complete their bookings by following the steps below.

Contact customer service: the passenger contacts the customer service centre to request a seat reservation for a specific train.

Receive booking details: a customer service representative provides the passenger with all necessary reservation information.

Confirm reservation: upon the passenger’s confirmation, the reservation request is submitted to the automated ticketing system.

Receive payment instructions and complete payment: the system sends a payment reference number via SMS to the passenger’s registered mobile number. The passenger can then complete the payment through an authorized electronic payment provider, such as Fawry or the Fawry mobile application. Additional payment options will be available soon.

Receive electronic ticket: once the payment is processed, the passenger receives an SMS containing a link to access and download the electronic ticket to their mobile phone.

Travel with digital ticket: on the day of travel, the passenger presents the digital ticket to pass through the station’s electronic gates and shows it to the train inspector upon request during the journey.

This initiative supports the government's strategy to drive the digital transformation of services provided to the public.
