Salah opened the scoring for the Reds in the 29th minute, collecting a clever pass from Diogo Jota inside the box before slotting a precise left-footed finish past goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez.

Aston Villa leveled nine minutes later when Youri Tielemans pounced on a rebound in the area and fired a low strike into the bottom-right corner.

The hosts then took the lead in first-half stoppage time as Ollie Watkins rose to meet Lucas Digne’s pinpoint cross with a clinical header from close range.

Liverpool equalized in the 61st minute through Trent Alexander-Arnold, with Salah orchestrating from the right flank, teed up the full-back, who unleashed a powerful low drive into the bottom-left corner beyond Martínez.

With 24 league goals and 15 assists this campaign, the 32-year-old Salah remains the Premier League’s top scorer and continues to rewrite the record books.

He extended his Premier League record of scoring and assisting in 41 separate matches.

Salah also set a new club record for most away goals in a single Premier League season (15), eclipsing Luis Suárez’s 14-goal tally from the 2013-14 campaign.

Additionally, he is the first player to register 15+ goals and assists in a single season since Chelsea’s Eden Hazard in 2018-19.

The result keeps Liverpool top of the table with 61 points, eight points clear of second-placed Arsenal, though the Gunners hold a game in hand.
