According to the local development ministry, delivery services will continue to operate 24/7 during Ramadan.
Additionally, workshops within residential areas must close by 10pm, except those located along main roads and near fuel stations.
The ministry added that this decision aims to create a suitable atmosphere for citizens while balancing economic activity with public order.
According to astronomical calculations by the Cairo-based National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics (NRIAG), the Islamic holy month of fasting, Ramadan, will begin on 1 March 2025 in Egypt and most Arab countries.
However, based on observations of the crescent moon, Dar El-Iftaa has the final say on the day Ramadan begins in Egypt. Dar El-Iftaa is the sole authority responsible for issuing religious edicts.
