The White Knights, currently third in the standings with 28 points, are looking to close the gap on league leaders Ahly and Pyramids FC, both tied at 36 points.

ZED FC, sitting ninth with 19 points, will aim to cause an upset and push closer to the top half of the table.

Portuguese coach José Peseiro has emphasized the importance of maintaining momentum after a 1-1 draw against Ahly in their last outing.

Speaking at a pre-match press conference, Peseiro highlighted ZED’s defensive solidity, noting that they have only conceded 10 goals this season.

“They play with high intensity and strong pressing, so we must be fully prepared,” he said.

Zamalek will be without midfielder Nabil Emad Dunga due to suspension, while the availability of key players remains a concern.

Peseiro has also expressed frustration over the absence of fans in the stands, calling their support crucial for the team’s performance.

ZED, one of the league’s newest clubs, have shown resilience this season. They have secured four wins and seven draws, and their compact defensive structure has made them difficult to break down.

Zamalek have won two of their last five meetings against ZED, with two draws and one loss. The last encounter ended in a narrow 1-0 win for Zamalek in the previous season.

With just two matchweeks remaining before the league split into title contenders and relegation battlers, every point is crucial.

Following this match, Zamalek will face ENPPI, while Ahly and Pyramids will meet Tala’ea El-Geish and Ceramica Cleopatra, respectively.
