"I was a little bit worried about her acting ability and whether she could speak proper Arabic, but she's very smart and speaks good Arabic," El-Halafawy said during a phone call on the programme Kelma Akhira with TV host Lamis El-Hadidi on the satellite channel ON.

Makkah, born in the UK in 2014, is Salah and his wife Magi’s first daughter. Their second daughter, Kayan, was born in 2020.

Salah plays for the Premier League team Liverpool and captains Egypt’s national team.

Salah, 32, is widely regarded as one of the best players of his generation and one of the greatest African players of all time.

The 15-episode series is the third season of Kamel El-Addad, which revolves around Laila (Dina El-Sherbiny), who has been married twice and has four children. She falls in love with Ahmed (Sherif Salama), a widower with three kids.

The second season, Kamel El-Addad+1, followed the couple’s challenges and hardships after marriage while raising their seven children and a new baby together.

The new season will present how, just as Laila and Ahmed settle down with their children, their routine is shaken by a wave of challenges when Laila’s ex-husband and Ahmed’s sister enter their lives.

Co-written by Youssr Taher and Rana Abu El-Rish, the TV series also stars Esaad Younis, Mimi Gamal, Ahmed Kamal, Lina Sophia, Hamza Diab, Malek Emad, Jessica Hossam, and Celia Mohamed, among others.

El-Halafawy confirmed that more stars will be featured in the third season, including Hussein Fahmy, Ingy El-Mokaddem, Mariam El-Khosht, Youssef Omar, and Ahmed Bahaa, co-founder of the Sharmoofers band.
