Egypt will present the plan at the upcoming Arab Summit in Cairo.
According to cabinet spokesperson Mohamed El-Homossani, the two sides also discussed collaboration with international humanitarian organizations to bolster early recovery and reconstruction efforts.
Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Badr Abdelatty, Palestinian Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Wael Zaqout, and Palestine’s Ambassador to Egypt, Diab Al-Louh, attended the meeting.
During the meeting, Madbouly reaffirmed Egypt’s steadfast support for the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights, particularly the right to self-determination and establishing an independent Palestinian state along the 4 June 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
He highlighted that President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi instructed the government to develop a comprehensive recovery and reconstruction plan for Gaza while ensuring that Palestinian civilians remain in the strip throughout the rebuilding process.
Furthermore, Madbouly emphasized Egypt’s ongoing efforts to facilitate the continued implementation of the ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel.
For his part, Prime Minister Mustafa expressed deep appreciation for Egypt’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people.
He commended President El-Sisi’s efforts in defending Palestinian rights and mobilizing the institutions of the Egyptian state to advance Gaza’s reconstruction.
