Unstable weather! Showers hit various parts of Egypt before weekend

Showers will fall on various areas nationwide Wednesday, with downpours lasting 15 minutes in some places, and is expected to continue on Thursday.

Earlier, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) forecasted that northern Egypt and Sinai would experience unstable weather conditions on Wednesday and Thursday, bringing rainfall of varying intensity, occasionally accompanied by thunderstorms.

According to EMA, very cold weather is also expected at night across most of central Sinai and northern Upper Egypt. 

On Wednesday, most areas will experience a slight drop in temperatures.

The northwestern coasts and northern Delta expect moderate rain in intermittent intervals, occasionally with thunderstorms. 

Meanwhile, light to moderate rain, likely with thunderstorms, is forecasted to hit the southern Delta.

Greater Cairo, the northeastern coasts, northern Upper Egypt, and Sinai will also see light showers intermittently.

By Thursday, the northern coasts, the Delta, and Sinai will see rain of similar intensity.

Wind activity is expected on both days. However, Wednesday will bring thunderclouds, which may stir sand and dust in some areas. 

On Thursday, winds will hit the northwestern coasts, southern Sinai, and northern Upper Egypt.

From Thursday to Monday, daytime temperatures in Cairo and Lower Egypt will start at 20 degrees Celsius and rise to 23 degrees by Monday, while nighttime lows will remain steady at 13 degrees.

On the northern coasts, daytime temperatures will be around 19 degrees on Thursday, fluctuating throughout the weekend and reaching 23 degrees by Monday. Nighttime lows will range from 11 to 12 degrees.

In northern Upper Egypt, daytime temperatures will start at 22 degrees on Thursday and gradually increase to 25 degrees by Monday, while nighttime lows will dip to 9-11 degrees.

However, Egypt's deep south will experience warmer conditions, starting at 24 degrees on Thursday and peaking at 27 degrees by Monday. Nighttime temperatures will range between 12 and 13 degrees.
