18:45 Zamalek reject any attempts to postpone the game or to appoint any other officials. In a statement posted on their social media, the White Knights said they will be heading to the stadium to play the game as scheduled.
15:30 Zamalek spokesman Ahmed Salem announced that the team would head to Cairo Stadium in a few hours to face Ahly, as per the official schedule for the playoff stage of the Egyptian Premier League.
13:50 Ahly released a statement just hours before the match, demanding the postponement of the game against Zamalek and asking the EFA to hire a foreign referee, or they would not complete the Egyptian League.
