President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi stressed Tuesday that the only resolution to the Palestinian cause depends on upholding justice, establishing an independent state, and rejecting the displacement of its people from their land.

El-Sisi made these remarks during the 41st Armed Forces Cultural Symposium, held under the theme “Noble People,” to mark the Martyrs' and Veterans' Day celebrations.

The president noted that despite the successive misfortunate events unfolding globally and regionally that created a turbulent reality, particularly concerning the Palestinian cause, "Egypt pursues its endeavours to achieve security and peace in the region, acting as a pivotal figure."

He noted that this stance could not have been sustained without the Egyptians’ awareness and alignment with the political leadership, which demonstrated sincere intentions and love for the homeland.

"Allow me to extend tribute to the steadfast Palestinian people, who resiliently endure on their ancestral land, assuring them that we will provide every possible support in their battle for survival and destiny," El-Sisi said.

Meanwhile, the 41st Cultural Symposium featured segments and documentary films showcasing the heroism of the armed forces. President El-Sisi also honoured several martyrs' families and veterans injured in combat.

During his speech, he also highlighted the significance of this year’s commemoration of Martyrs' Day, which coincides with the Tenth of Ramadan victory, a watershed moment in Egypt’s history.

"This battle stands as one of Egypt’s most honourable moments, where our men performed extraordinary feats that propelled us towards dignity and pride," he stated.

The president also paid tribute to the martyrs, noting that their sacrifices extend beyond their lives to secure Egypt’s future.

"Our righteous martyrs did not merely offer their lives; they bestowed upon Egypt its future. They paved the way for stability and security, allowing us to continue our journey of construction and development today," El-Sisi remarked.

He stressed that "by their sacrifices, Egypt has been empowered to confront adversities and proceed with the execution of national initiatives, which now stand as a testament to the resilience of this nation and the resolve of its people."

He emphasized that this progress would not have been possible "without the pure blood that was shed to uphold this nation's safety, stability, and capacity for progress and development."

El-Sisi concluded by reaffirming Egypt’s unwavering support for the families of its martyrs, recognizing their profound sacrifice in giving their loved ones for the nation’s future.

"Egypt does not forget its loyal sons and will always stand by them, just as our armed forces — the nation's shield and sword — will remain steadfast in the face of any threat, protecting the resources of this great people," he declared.
