This came during a meeting between the two in Doha on Wednesday.
A statement by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Abdelatty and Al-Thani also discussed steps to mobilize the funding necessary for the plan.
They also reviewed the outcomes of the Extraordinary Arab Summit in Cairo and those of the Extraordinary Meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Jeddah.
Furthermore, the two sides discussed efforts to solidify the ceasefire agreement and accelerate the exchange of captives and prisoners in the Gaza Strip.
The statement added that Abdelatty and Al-Thani emphasized the need to intensify the entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza and address the urgent humanitarian needs of the Palestinian people.
The meeting comes as Egypt prepares to host the upcoming International Reconstruction Conference in partnership with the United Nations (UN) and the Palestinian government. Several donor countries and organizations are expected to participate in the conference.
Last Tuesday, an Arab plan endorsed at the Cairo Summit laid out a three-stage framework, starting with an early recovery phase and two large-scale reconstruction phases. The plan is estimated to cost an overall budget of $53 billion.
The proposal, spearheaded by Egypt, aims to counter US President Donald Trump's contentious plan to seize control of Gaza and forcibly displace Palestinians from their land, a plan that has sparked international outrage.
On 9 March, the European Union (EU) announced its support for the Arab plan for Gaza's reconstruction.
It acknowledged the plan as a solid foundation for discussions on Gaza's future and emphasized its commitment to engaging with Arab partners to explore these proposals further.
Meanwhile, the OIC and several countries, including the UK, France, Italy, and Germany, have backed the plan, while the US position remains unclear.
