The luxury project, located in the El-Remaya Square in the Haram district on the Cairo-Alexandria Desert Road, is near the Grand Egyptian Museum, which will open on 3 July.

The five-star hotel, valued at $120 million, will include 302 rooms, several luxury suites, international restaurants, entertainment facilities, banquet halls, a shopping mall, and a parking facility.

According to the Emirati news agency (WAM,) the hotel is financed through a partnership between the Egyptian and Emirati private sectors. ADFD contributes 84.28 percent of the project’s capital.

During the event, the Giza governor affirmed the state’s commitment to the tourism sector, recognizing its vital role in supporting the national economy.

He highlighted how many countries with fewer tourism assets than Egypt have successfully used tourism to reduce unemployment and boost economic growth.

El-Naggar also noted that the project would be a valuable addition to Giza’s hospitality sector, aligning with the ongoing and upcoming tourism projects.

He reaffirmed the governorate’s readiness to support the public and private sectors in expanding tourism infrastructure.

He stressed the importance of collaboration with various stakeholders to incorporate development plans and transform the governorate into a comprehensive tourist destination.

This landmark project, near the iconic Giza Pyramids, will attract global visitors and elevate Egypt’s luxury hospitality sector further.

Tourism is one of Egypt’s key sources of foreign currency, along with remittances from Egyptians abroad, the Suez Canal revenues, and foreign direct investments.

In 2024, Egypt welcomed 15.7 million tourists and generated $14.1 billion in total revenue, exceeding the previous record of 14.9 million visitors set in 2023.

To boost tourism, the Egyptian government has developed a national tourism strategy to attract 30 million visitors by 2028.

In July 2023, the state allocated EGP 50 billion to support the tourism sector by constructing and operating new hotel rooms.
