Moreover, the EMA said the current heatwave will persist across most regions this week, with hot daytime temperatures and mildly cool nights and early mornings.

Starting Wednesday, 19 March, temperatures will decrease across most regions by approximately 4-5 degrees Celsius.

This will be accompanied by increased wind activity and rainfall of varying intensity over the northern coastal areas and parts of the Nile Delta.

The authority advised the public not to be misled by the current heatwave and to avoid very light clothing, especially for children and the elderly. It also urged citizens to stay updated with the latest weather bulletins.

According to the EMA, morning temperatures in Cairo and Lower Egypt will range between 31 and 26 degrees during the week and drop to 21-15 degrees at night.

Similarly, the northern coasts and northern Upper Egypt will see daytime temperatures of 30-23 degrees, while nighttime lows are expected to be 17 and 14 degrees, respectively.

Meanwhile, Egypt's deep south will experience much warmer temperatures, reaching 36 degrees in the morning and 16 degrees at night.
