Last Thursday, Armenian and Azerbaijani officials announced that they had agreed on the text of a comprehensive peace deal aimed at ending nearly four decades of conflict between the two nations.

Moreover, Egypt expressed its eagerness to see the peace agreement signed between the two friendly nations as soon as possible, read the statement.
The Caucasus neighbours fought two wars over Karabakh, a region in Azerbaijan with an Armenian population: first during the Soviet Union's collapse and then in 2020. After that, Azerbaijan fully reclaimed the territory in a swift 24-hour offensive in September 2023.
However, the public's reaction in the capitals of Armenia and Azerbaijan remains divided, highlighting the ongoing tensions between the two former Soviet republics.
