Salah, Mostafa, Marmoush join Egypt for World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia, Sierra Leone

Egyptian football stars Mohamed Salah, Omar Marmoush, and Mostafa Mohamed have joined the Pharaohs' camp ahead of their 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Ethiopia and Sierra Leone.

The trio, representing top European clubs, will join the Egyptian squad for the crucial matches. Salah plays for Liverpool, Marmoush for Manchester City, and Mohamed for Nantes.

The Egyptian national team will depart for Morocco late on Tuesday. Coach Hossam Hassan announced a 24-man squad on Saturday. Egypt will face Ethiopia in Casablanca on Friday before hosting Sierra Leone in Cairo four days later.

Egypt leads Group A with 10 points after four rounds, holding a four-point advantage over Guinea-Bissau and a five-point lead over third-place Burkina Faso.

Sierra Leone is fourth with five points, followed by Ethiopia in fifth with three and Djibouti in last place with just one point.
