The EGP 35 minimum value threshold remains unchanged from last year.
Zakat Al-Fitr can be paid anytime between the first day of Ramadan and just before the Eid prayer.
The zakat is equivalent to 2.5 kilograms of the locally predominant grain, wheat in Egypt, per person.
However, Dar Al-Ifta said the zakat can be paid in cash instead of grain.
Every adult Muslim with food beyond their needs must pay Zakat Al-Fitr for themselves and on behalf of their dependents.
Egypt, which recently experienced high inflation rates, increased minimum wages from EGP 6,000 ($119) to EGP 7,000 ($138), effective July for public employees and March for private sector employees.
However, in February, annual inflation in Egypt was nearly halved, reaching 12.5 percent, and urban consumer price inflation fell to 12.8 percent from 24 percent in January.
Additionally, Dar Al-Ifta set the fasting compensatory payment (fidyah) at EGP 30 ($0.60) per day.
The fidyah applies to individuals who cannot fast during any number of days with a valid reason and cannot make it up at any other time.
According to the statement, the fidyah can be paid daily, or in a lump sum at the beginning, during, or after Ramadan.
Ramadan 2025 began in Egypt and most Muslim-majority countries on 1 March.
During Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, Muslims abstain from food and drink from dawn until dusk, a practice that constitutes one of the religion's five pillars.
Muslims worldwide revere Ramadan as the month when the Holy Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Ramadan is followed by Eid Al-Fitr - Festival of Breaking the Fast - a three-day religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide.
